Craft Beer Sustainable Craft Cocktails Gastro Pub Steakhouse Portage Park

CHICAGO, IL (MAY 6, 2015) Community Tavern is excited to host the second event of its Community Cocktail Series, showcasing creative and prominent mixologists from Chicago area bars and restaurants. The three-month long series kicked off in April and will continue with Beverage Professional Danielle Pizzutillo on Wednesday, May 6th from 6-8pm. Craft cocktail enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a unique libation created by Danielle Pizzutillo and Community Tavern’s Beverage Director, Jose Cordon.

The duo has paired up to bring the “El Dorado” to Community Tavern guests for the month of May. The refreshing spring drink has Vida mezcal, ginger and Asian pear shrub, dry vermouth and lime.

Danielle Pizzutillo has become a seasoned Beverage Director and spirit specialist for a handful of prominent beverage programs across Chicago. She has been found shaking up the cocktail world with fresh flavors and a creative approach to style, taste and presentation, while utilizing ingredients and techniques often found in the kitchen. She follows husband, Chef Thai Dangs’, lead by complimenting his flavors in food with those in her cocktails. The duo is now in hot pursuit of their second restaurant, HaiSous, a Vietnamese kitchen that will highlight true Vietnamese food in a fun, yet sophisticated setting.

Patrons can also expect a few inventive food dishes from Executive Chef Joey Beato to pair with each month’s featured cocktail. The Community Cocktail Series will continue into June with Jacyara de Oliveira, Bar Manager at Sportsman’s Club will close out the series on Wednesday, June 3rd.
