Knives and forks are optional at Commons Club. Beginning Monday, October 8th, Virgin Hotels Chicago’s restaurant and bar will launch Between the Buns, a guest chef series featuring special limited-time items from four notable Chicago chefs including Moosah Reaume (Commons Club), Todd Stein (Nonna’s, The Bristol), Rob Levitt (Butcher & Larder) and Art Smith (Blue Door Kitchen & Garden). Chef Moosah has invited each chef to join him in the kitchen to create a handheld item, which will be featured on Commons Club’s menu for one week at a time. In addition to a special menu item, chefs have selected a charity near and dear to their hearts. A portion of proceeds from the most-ordered item will be donated to the winning chefs’ charity of choice at the end of the series (November 4). Each item will cost $12 and will be available while supplies last in Commons Club from 5pm-10pm.
To kick-off the series on Monday, chef Moosah will offer his Virgin Umami Burger (double patty angus prime beef with smoked ketchup, black garlic aoli, yuzu pickles, white cheddar, lettuce and tomato on brioche) and his selected charity is Common Threads.
