Common Threads, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing health and wellness to children, families and
communities through cooking and nutrition education, just announced the launch of Common Threads Chef Takeover Fueled by Formula 1 USGP at Circuit of The Americas. The pop-up dinner series consists of five one-night-only ticketed events throughout the country, beginning with Chicago on April 30. Tickets for this food-driven event, hosted at Prime & Provisions from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., are on sale now.
Each event in the series features a group of chefs collaborating to create a themed meal ranging from the revival of a world-famous menu from the past to a cultural fusion spanning the culinary map. The Chicago event will focus on a Charlie Trotter-inspired menu, featuring acclaimed chefs: Chef Fabio Viviani (Siena Tavern & Bar Siena/Chicago), Chef Brad Kilgore (Alter/Miami), Chef Anita Lo (Annisa/NY), Chef JJ Johnson (Minton’s/NY) and Chef Dana Cree (The Publican/Chicago). Master Sommelier, Serafin Alvarado, will curate the wine pairings for this dinner experience. The evening will also include an opening reception with small bites prepared by Chef Jeremy Leven of mfk. restaurant and a group of Common Threads students, a silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and a special guest musical performance. Joining TV personality and author Adam Richman, award-winning journalist Tamron Hall and Food & Wine Magazine’s Gail Simmons will act as honorary chairs for the series.
General tickets cost $175 per person and Chef’s Table tickets (which include a welcome gift, elevated wine pairing and celebrity chef dish presentations) cost $250 per person.
