Common Pantry will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its “I Am Your Neighbor” fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 2 at Artifact Events, 4325 N. Ravenswood Ave. The annual event raises funds for the organization’s work addressing food insecurity in Chicago and will run from 7 to 11 p.m.
The evening will feature more than 30 food and beverage vendors, along with live performances from Things That Fly, The Larry Brown Band and The Simpletones. Activities will include a floor of party games with mini golf, Connect Four, cornhole and Pop-A-Shot, as well as a silent auction, raffles, a casino floor and a high-stakes poker tournament with a grand prize. Hidden Cove will also return for the evening with karaoke.
Tickets start at $175, with proceeds benefiting Common Pantry’s food assistance programs as rising food and housing costs and changes to public benefits continue to affect Chicago households. According to the organization, the proceeds associated with each ticket can provide the equivalent of 525 meals for Common Pantry guests.
