What to know about Columbus Tap Announces Chef-Made Picnic Basket Menu
Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park has introduced the new Picnic in the Park menu. Created by chefs from their in-house gastropub, Columbus Tap, the Deluxe Park Totes for Two offers diners on the go a complete meal for $67 through September 2. Fairmont Chicago is also offering a new Park Package which includes one night in a guestroom, a deluxe picnic for two, and two tickets to the Grant Park Music Festival, starting at $226.
Fairmont’s Deluxe Park Tote for Two features a variety of dishes, including charcuterie featuring two meats, two cheeses, a small baguette, and assorted olives, Columbus Tap’s rotisserie chicken salad with kale, and a choice of dessert such as a slice of flourless chocolate cake, slice of Chicago style cheesecake or the chef’s choice. Diners may also choose between a bottle of Robert Mondavi Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon, and two bottles of Fairmont Spring Water. Vegetarian options, non-alcoholic substitutes, craft beer alternatives, wine upgrades and gluten free preferences are also available.
Picnic Tote packages can be reserved online 24 hours in advance and are available for delivery to Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park guest rooms or pick up at the Columbus Tap host stand. Picnic blankets can be purchased for $20 each.
