Claudia, the fine dining concept from local chef Trevor Teich in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood, is introducing a brand new mini tasting menu, The Lounge Tasting Experience. The 90 minute experience will take place in the downstairs bar area of the restaurant, where guests will be offered a five-course tasting menu. The smaller menu includes some of Chef Trevor’s signature dishes.
Claudia also currently offers a progressive, seasonal 10 – 15 course tasting menu highlighting dishes that combine Chef Teich’s training in French and Japanese cuisine with his memories of growing up on Chicago’s North Shore. Chef Teich aims to tell a story through food, with each dish being crafted as a “chapter.”
Signature dishes of Chef Trevor’s include ‘Snails In the Woods’ - a braised-and-tempura fried snail dish featuring mushroom and truffle “soil,” shaved truffles, fresh herb “moss” and edible flowers, as well as the Bento Box - a tuna-wrapped foie gras topped with a dot of fermented ponzu with scallop cracker topped with egg yolk confit, chile threads and togarashi, a potato caviar beignet and squid ink madeleines.
The Lounge Tasting Experience is priced at $175 per person, with a $100 per person deposit required to secure the booking that will be fully applied to the bill. Reservations can be made online at Claudia's website.
