Whether you are treating Mom to an indulgent meal or a thoughtful gift this Mother's Day (May 10), we have you covered with plenty of great ideas to make her smile!
Local Chef and Restaurant Kits from Made In Cookware
Backed by Chicago's own, Alinea Group’s Grant Achatz, Made In offers tools and kits so that mom can easily cook restaurant quality food in the comfort of her own home.
Whether she’s a beginner or an advanced cook, Made In has tools that fit every level - the brand even has a kit from local chef, Stephanie Izard. The kit includes all the ingredients, recipes and cookware so that home chefs can recreate Chef Izard’s famed dishes.
Michelin-Starred Boka will be offering either a brunch or dinner option for Mom’s next weekend (with kids meals too).
For brunch (a first for Boka) Chefs Lee Wolen and Meg Galus will be making homemade bagels with smoked salmon, a spring vegetable quiche, kale and brussels salad and fresh fruit with yogurt and granola. The brunch serves 2 and is available for $60.
Orders must be placed by Thursday, May 7.
For dinner, Boka’s duck dish will be available for Mom’s.
The meal serves 2 for $85 and will offer a spring vegetable crudite, prawn cocktail, honey lacquered duck breast & leg confit, spring asparagus, warm grain salad and a chocolate hazelnut tart.
Add on options will also be available all day, ranging from pastries to flowers, to cocktail kits. The full menu for Mother’s Day can be viewed HERE.
