The 57th Annual Chicago Air and Water show takes place on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16. To make your trip to the Chicago coastline that much easier, we've rounded up some top viewing spots as well as tried and true restaurant options.

Castaways Air & Water Show Packages

  • Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16
  • $120 to $175 tickets

Locals and tourists alike can enjoy a premium view of the Air and Water Show from Castaways on North Avenue Beach. Tickets are $175 per person and are available for Sunday, August 16 from 9 a.m. until the end of the show. The price of admission includes a breakfast and lunch buffet, and open bar. Practice day tickets are also available for Friday, August 14 and are $120 per person which includes a breakfast and lunch buffet and an open bar from 9 a.m. until the end of the show. LandShark

The Landshark Beer Garden Air & Water Show Viewing and Live Music

Located at the East End of Navy Pier, the beer garden is an air show viewing hotspot on both Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16. For guests craving a quick bite, the quick-service walk-up window offers summer favorites including homemade pizza, brats soaked in lager, burgers and more. Live entertainment over the weekend will include:

Air & Water Show Special and Party Subs at New York Delicatessen

In celebration of the 2015 Air & Water Show, New York Delicatessen will feature "The Bomber" for the entire month of August. The new sandwich includes turkey, ham, roast beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, American cheese, mayonnaise and deli mustard, and is available for $6 (half) or $10 (full).

Perfect for picnics, New York Delicatessen will feature party sub and deli salad specials for Air & Water Show weekend. Party subs are 36 inches and serve approximately 8 guests. Options include the Italian (Genoa salami, sweet capocollo, mortadella, provolone, house made pesto, lettuce, tomato, oil and vinegar; $35), Caprese (fresh mozzarella, basil leaves, tomato slices, oil and vinegar, pesto; $35), Artichoke (artichokes, mozzarella, pesto, roasted red peppers, oil and vinegar; $35) and Prosciutto (thin-sliced Italian prosciutto di Parma, fresh mozzarella, tomato, and Italian seasoning; $40). Deli salads are $4.50 a pound (serves 3 guests per pound) and options include coleslaw, potato salad and Italian pasta salad.

Riva
Riva on Navy Pier is another good choice for great food and a great view of the air show.

RIVA Cafe Air Show Viewing

This more casual version of Riva Crab House, Chicago's premiere seafood restaurant, is the perfect place to catch all the action in the air during the 2015 Chicago Air & Water Show. Riva Café accommodates guests with a superb seafood menu, gourmet sandwiches, soups, and salads. The café's outdoor seating area provides a beautiful view overlooking Lake Michigan as well as access to all of Navy Pier's fun and excitement. (Patio Capacity: 150 - 175).
