Executive Chef Steve Chiappetti has announced the opening of Archive Lounge, a new Sicilian pizza and wine restaurant in Streeterville. Located on the lofted, second level of Hotel EMC2(228 E. Ontario St.), Archive has a focus on house-made artisan pizzas, cicchetti (shareable snacks) and an all-Italian wine selection. Archive Lounge debuts Friday, February 9, 2024, which falls on National Pizza Day.
Snacks include bites such as Sicilian Fried Olives with orange, rosemary and chili oil; Salsiccia & Peppers, featuring roasted fennel sausage, sweet peppers and amatriciana sauce; Hot Shrimp with Calabrian chili and herb focaccia crumbs; and Arugula Salad tossed with asiago cheese, red onion and torn focaccia. Pizzas are made championing the Sicilian method and include rectangular-shaped creations with a variety of toppings. Six selections rotate seasonally and include14-inch varieties such as:
4 Cheese - goat cheese, Parmesan, provolone, cream with asiago cheese, chili flakes
For dessert, the Cookie Cart offers freshly baked cookies, merengue and candies on offer via a roving trolley, or the Tiramisu. The 2nd Level features a 5-layer chocolate cake with whipped cream.
The wine list includes one dozen white, red and rosé varietals by boutique producers found throughout Italy’s wine-making regions. All are available by the bottle or as 3, 6 or 9-oz pours.

Soppressata - crushed San Marzano tomatoes, spicy salami, fresh mozzarella, pesto

Verdure - sweet peppers, mushrooms, onions, crushed San Marzano tomatoes, provolone cheese
Smoked Duck - smoked duck, toasted pine nuts, goat cheese, caramelized onions
