At a glance: Chef Joe Flamm and Honey Butter Fried Chicken Partner for Collaboration Sandwich, July 10-15
Co-Owners and Chefs Christine Cikowski and Josh Kulp of Honey Butter Fried Chicken partner with executive chef of Spiaggia and recent winner of Top Chef Joe Flamm to launch their latest Clucker Collaboration. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Maxwell Street Polish, the sandwich combines Honey Butter’s signature fried chicken with elements of the classic Chicago dish. The collaboration Fried Chicken FLAMMwich features fried chicken strips topped with Maxwell Street-style fixings like caramelized onions and sport peppers as well as pickled mustard seeds on a soft bun.
The sandwich is available for $11 from July 10-15 at the restaurant or online through Caviar for delivery. $1 per sandwich is donated to Pilot Light, a Chicago nonprofit that helps kids make healthier food choices by connecting the lessons they learn in their classrooms to the foods they eat on their lunch trays, at home and in their communities.
