Time Out Market Chicago has announced the addition of Sporty Bird – a fried chicken concept from chef Art Smith. Opening on April 20th at the Market, Sporty Bird will combine sports with Chef Art Smith's fried chicken creations.

"Chef Art Smith's innovative take on fried chicken, combined with his passion for sports and great food, especially in Chicago, is a winning combination that perfectly embodies the spirit of Time Out Market which celebrates the best of the city under one roof.”
As co-owner of Chicago's rugby team - the Chicago Hounds - Sporty Bird is a culinary concept inspired by Smith's love for rugby, influenced by former Argentine Professional rugby player, Lucas Cancelier.
“With Chicago being the sports capital of the world, bringing Sporty Bird in Time Out Market Chicago is an exciting step,” said Chef Art Smith. “As a worldwide brand that unites food-lovers from all walks of life, Time Out Market provides the perfect platform for Sporty Bird to showcase its unique blend of flavors and fun. Smith will be offering a menu that includes options like Chef Art’s Fried Chicken and Hummingbird Cake as well as new flavors.

The Chicago Hounds Sandwich: Homemade ciabatta bread, two big crispy chicken breasts, Fair Oaks cheddar, crispy Allen Brothers beef bacon, Sporty sauce, homemade pickles, lettuce and tomato
Milanese Sandwich: Homemade bread, tenderloin beef Milanese or crispy chicken, breaded with fresh bread crumbs, sautéed with lettuce and tomato
Sporty Bird Sandwich: Homemade ciabatta bread, toasted with crunchy chicken, Sporty sauce, homemade pickles, lettuce and tomato
