About Fabulous Freddies Italian Eatery

It all began in 1981 when Fred Bertucci opened a meat market in suburban Chicago. Coming from three generations of butchers, Fred always dreamed of taking it another step further and opening a restaurant. Fred and his wife, Denise, opened up Freddies in Chicagos historic Bridgeport neighborhood in 1990. The restaurant had to cater to the down-to-earth, hardworking citizens of Bridgeport and focused on serving the finest homemade Italian beef, sausage, meatballs, pizza, sauces, soups and more. Freddies has since become a Bridgeport staple, and is now run by Freds three daughters, Christie, Stephanie, and Brittany. The same great family recipes with the highest quality ingredients are still offered today for dine-in, carryout, delivery, catering, and private parties. Freddies was listed in Steve Dolinskys Top 15 Italian Beefs in Chicagoland, and offers many other Chicago classics such as the Pepper & Egg sandwich. Freddies is located at 701 W. 31st in Chicago. Hours: 9am-Midnight Sunday-Thursday, 9am-1am Friday and Saturday. For more information, call Freddies at 312-808-0147, visit them online at www.FreddiesOn31st.com, like them on Facebook, or follow them on Twitter.
