The North Avenue Beach stalwart, Castaways, is opening back up to the public this Memorial Day weekend. To kick off the summer in true beach bar fashion, Castaways is featuring live entertainment by DJ Jem from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday through Monday.

While you're enjoying the music, sip on cocktails like the Castaways Island Ice Tea with a Malibu Red floater, Bacardi Mai Tai and Chicago Breeze (Captain Morgan White Rum, cranberry and pineapple juices, club soda), or frozen sensations like Bacardi pina and strawberry coladas, and the Mango Margarita. You can also refuel with lunch and dinner, served from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (weather permitting), with menu items like fresh salads, wraps, sandwiches, and quesadillas.
