Sustainable New Menu Events and Festivals Limited Time Only American Comfort Food Creole / Cajun / Southern Edgewater

Big Jones, in Andersonville, closes out the season with its second annual Summer Seafood Festival. Bringing together local farmers and America’s fisherman, Executive Chef and Co-Owner Paul Fehribach cooks up his favorite end-of-summer dishes. Kicking off on Thursday, August 3rd and running through Labor Day (Monday, September 4th) this neighborhood spot brings all the seafood flavors like shrimp burgers, oyster po’ boys, and heaping seafood platters.

Fresh market specials will debut daily, with Chef Fehribach’s favorites - wild salmon, Alaskan salmon and halibut - most likely making an appearance throughout the festival. As part of the restaurant’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Gulf Coast’s fishing industry, seafood will be sourced from the area for the festival. Chef Fehribach is sourcing crab from Pontchartrain Blue Crab in Slidell, LA, crawfish from D & T Crawfish in Abbeville, LA, white shrimp from Dominick’s Seafood in Bayou La Batre, AL and red snapper from Gulf Wild. Using local area produce farmers and flying in fresh seafood caught by the country’s finest fishermen, Big Jones’ Summer Seafood Festival delivers even more traditional southern recipes to Chicago.

Festival menu items are available for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Big Jones is open Monday-Friday from 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
