Chef/Owner Brandon Rushing has announced the arrival of weekend brunch at Briny Swine Smokehouse & Oyster Bar. (2577 N. Clark St) in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The first full weekend of brunch service takes place this Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21 and will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Chef Rushing’s brunch menu includes a selection of Lowcountry-inspired eats and live musical performances. Among them are the Fried Chicken & French Toast: Pecan crusted thigh, French toast, orange blueberry sauce; Lowcountry Quiche: Crawfish, andouille sausage, roasted tomato, wilted spinach, smoked gouda; Holy City Quesadilla: Brisket, black beans, smoked provolone, avocado, pico de gallo, fried eggs & chipotle sour cream; Blue Crab Avocado Toast with pickled onions & arugula; and more.
A Bloody Mary Pitcher will be available, featuring Wheatley Kentucky Vodka served with a Lowcountry garnish – a skewer loaded with shrimp, okra, pickled green tomato, candied bacon and celery; or the Mimosa Carafe, filled with orange juice and domestic sparkling wine. A Bucket of High Noon (6 mixed selections) is another way to toast, or the Coke Float, a Southern drink made with classic Coca Cola & vanilla ice cream ; those 21+ can add Jack Daniel’s.
