On Sunday, July 24, Wicker Park’s late-night honky tonk picks up their summer music + grilling series with a live performance by Chicago-based folk band, Glass Mountain, and a special menu featuring dishes from neighboring chef Charlie McKenna of BBQ restaurant, Lillie’s Q, and Big Star’s Chef de Cuisine Julie Warpinski. In addition to live music and limited-time-only bites, guests can sip special bourbon-focused cocktails created by Big Star’s Beverage Director, Laurent Lebec. Menu items and cocktails will be available a la carte and there is no additional cost to enjoy the live music #ohyeah!
MENU:
Ensalada de Ejotes: grilled market beans, mojo de ajo, cherry tomato, sweet corn and cotija cheese (Big Star)
Huarache de Pollo: charred masa cake with smoked chicken, ayocote beans, quest fresco and salsa ranchera (Big Star)
Tasso Shrimp Taco: shrimp tossed with Tasso spice with pork rinds and cilantro leaves, cojita cheese and pickled red onion(Lillie’s Q)
Pimiento Cheese Tamale: with green tomato chutney and fried green tomatoes (Lillie’s Q)
