Craft Beer Special Events American Uptown

The Bar on Buena, a neighborhood hub featuring an extensive craft beer list and an array of rare whiskeys, is excited to ring in 2016 with a Big Beer New Year celebration. The BOB will be rolling out the hits and tapping some favorite brews to bid farewell to 2015 and welcome 2016 with open arms (and mouths!) This celebration will be a night of big, robust beers and delicious food specials from Chef Cleetus Friedman. The countdown to 2016 will be celebrated with great music, great people, great fun and, of course, great beer!

On draft, The Bar on Buena will be featuring some amazing standouts from Founder’s Brewing including Backwoods Bastard, Old Curmudgeon Ale and Devil Dancer. As a bonus, at 9 p.m., 2014 Founders KBS will be tapped so guests have the opportunity to purchase a glass of this rare and sought after brew! Also available on draft is Lost Abbey Serpent Stout and Stone Enjoy By 1.1.16 Black IPA. Special bottled releases include Sonoma Dry Zyder aged in Zinfandel barrels and Christian Drouin Pear Cider. In addition, guests will receive a complimentary bubbly toast at midnight.

Chef Cleetus Friedman has whipped up specials for the night to keep guests snacking and drinking until the ball drops, including Hook’s Cheddar-Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers, Housemade Tamales with rice and beans and Tres Leches Cake with Bourbon Caramel.

Draft beers will range from $6-$9 and large format bottled cider will start at $20. Appetizers will range from $7-$10. No cover, no tickets, no red tape—just a fun party with great food & beer!
