Beach Party and Mai Tai Day at Nacional 27

Nacional 27 will hold an array of tropical fiestas this June, complete with cocktails, Latin cuisine and dancing. On Saturday, June 25, the River North restaurant will feature a Latin Beach Party starting at 5:30 p.m. with such beachy beverages as Rum Punch (light and dark rum mixed with fresh fruit juices); Tropical Tease (coconut rum, melon liquor, banana liquor and pineapple juice) and Miami Vice (half strawberry daiquiri and half pina colada) for $10 each. Hit the dance floor as DJ X spins salsa, meringue, bachata and more from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.

On National Mai Tai Day (Thursday, June 30), Nacional 27 will transport you to a tropical, Polynesian paradise with handcrafted Mai Tai cocktails made with three types of rum, orgeat syrup, orange liqueur and lime juice. From 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Mai Tais by the glass will be $6 and fishbowls (52 ounces; serves 2-4) will be $20.
