On Wednesday, Feb. 21 beginning at 7 p.m., DineAmic Group and Chef Katsuji Tanabe (Top Chef) will host a dinner at their newest River North restaurant, Barrio, with tequila label, Clase Azul, Chef Tanabe, an will be pairing four dishes with four different, handcrafted Clase Azul cocktails created by DineAmic Group Mixologist, Adolfo Calderon.
The evening will start out with a walk around reception with roasted sweet potato guacamole and the La Pinta Pomegranate. Following the reception, the second course will consist of grilled octopus tacos and a roasted beet salad with the Plata tequila, bringing out a hint of sweet and smooth flavors. For the third course, Chef Tanabe prepared tequila-braised short ribs, perfectly paired with the reposado tequila, allowing for a silky and rich flavor profile. And for the dessert course, the Clase Azul Añejo, with hints of vanilla and caramel, will be paired with homemade red velvet churros.
