A closer look: Aya Pastry Opening September 7th in West Town
Bringing its turquoise-lined storefront to Chicago’s West Town, Aya Pastry (1332 West Grand Avenue), a commissary and soon-to-be brick-and-mortar, brings a range of breads, cakes and pastries by Michelin-starred pastry chef Aya Fukai. Describing her creations as honest and light-hearted, Fukai’s goal is to provide high-quality, yet approachable, baked goods to all for a range of everyday and special occasions. Aya Pastry product is available online for pickup seven days a week (72-hours in advance) and can be found in a variety of the city’s restaurants, cafes and local grocers.
Aya Pastry's previous Saturday pop-ups will officially transition into permanent Saturday Storefronts from 8am-1pm, starting September 7th.
In addition to other rotating cookies, pastries and breads from the James Beard nominated pastry chef, Aya Fukai, customers can expect to find favorites like
Samoa cakes
croissants
sourdough loaves
baguettes
Aya Pastry will also offer a new off-menu bread every Saturday created by different bakers on the team. The special breads are exclusive and are only available at Saturday Storefronts.
