Thalia Hall's First Block Partyis taking place August 27th from 2-7pm on Allport Street. It's free and open to the public ($5 suggested donation to entry to benefit the Pilsen Food Pantry). There will be local vendors, food & drink (grilling outside), and live music including: Thee Sacred Souls, E. Woods, Rudy De Anda, Loona Dae, La Academia, and a DJ set by Agua de Rosas.

Good Ambler
The Good Ambler Pastry Collab with Chef Romain Dufouris happening August 20-21. It is a two-day takeover with specialty items (while supplies last) by Chef Dufour. He is a graduate of the Ecole de Boulangerie et de Patisserie de Paris and has previous experience at Intercontinental Hotel and Bateel among other bakeries. He currently works in Chicago as the R&D Master Baker for Problend-Eurogerm, a French/American company specializing in dough conditioners, bread mixes and pastry mixes.
