The 16th installment of The Local Tourist’s AlphaBeer www.AlphaBeer.com will take place on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and return to A. J. Hudson's Public House, located at 3801 North Ashland Avenue in Chicago. AlphaBeer features 26 beers, one for each letter of the alphabet, and many knowledgeable beer industry experts who will give a full lesson on each beer, including the ladies of Barley’s Angels http://barleysangels.org/ and cicerones from many of the featured breweries.

Focusing on regional and local breweries, this edition of AlphaBeer has announced the inclusion of a brand-new release from Off Color Brewing, QingMing, a beer the brewery partnered with The Field Museum to produce for a limited run. Some of the other featured beers will include a seasonal release with Old Irving Brewing’s Secret Haka from Chicago, Forbidden Root’s Strawberry Basil Hefeweizen from Chicago, another limited release with Church Street’s Itascafest from Itasca, Ale Asylum’s Velveteen Habit from Madison, Pipework’s XO Manowar Galactic Golden Ale from Chicago, and more – one for each letter of the alphabet.

Attendees must be 21 and over, and tickets are now on sale for $50 per person. Tickets may be purchased at www.AlphaBeer.com or at the door, if available.
