Tuman’s Tap & Grill welcomes Maine’s Allagash Brewing Company for a special beer night on Thursday, November 10. The beer lineup lists three limited-release brews, including Fluxus 2016, a saison brewed with fresh ginger root and aged in oak barrels from Barr Hill that previously held Tom Cat barrel-aged gin; James Bean, a bourbon barrel-aged Belgian-style strong ale infused with cold press coffee; and One T, which is brewed with Brettanomyces Claussenii and is pleasantly bitter with tropical fruit flavors.
Two year-rounds complete the lineup, the fruity and refreshing White Belgian-style wheat, and Sixteen Counties Belgian-style pale ale, which has aromas of lemon rind, flowers and candied grapefruit. The event also highlights beer-spiked food features such as Prince Edward Island Mussels with Allagash White and shallots ($12) and Maine Oysters with Allagash mignonette ($9/3 oysters).
There is no cover charge to attend and beers range from $6-$10 each. The beers will be tapped at 4 p.m. and the Allagash crew will be on-hand from 7-10 p.m. for beer education and giveaways such as wearables and glassware.
Never miss an eat.
