il Mio in Clarendon Hills is hosting a five-course Caymus Wine Dinner on Monday, Oct. 5, pairing each course with a different wine from Caymus Vineyards.
The menu reads like a full fall progression, starting with beef carpaccio, truffle aioli, crispy capers, Parmigiano and arugula alongside Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, then moving into a pan-seared sea scallop with butternut squash, fennel, green apple and citrus brown butter.
From there, a porcini mushroom ravioli with short rib ragù meets Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by herb-crusted lamb chops with creamy rosemary polenta, roasted squash and a blackberry-Cabernet reduction. Dessert is a roasted grape, Amarena cherry and ricotta crostata paired with Caymus-Suisun Grenache.
The dinner begins at 6 p.m. and is $140 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Seating is limited and reservations (via RESY) are required.
