A Better Chicago, a venture philanthropy that invests in organizations across the city working to end youth poverty, announced today the third annual Grape + Grain Fine Wine and Spirits Charity Auction. Taking place Thursday, May 9 at Theater on the Lake (2401 N. DuSable Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, IL), proceeds from the event will go towards advancing A Better Chicago’s mission to invest in bold, innovative opportunities for Chicago’s low-income youth.

The evening will feature a multi-course dinner and select wines and spirits curated by wine auctioneers Hart Davis Hart. Hors d’oeuvres will be curated by Chef Curtis Duffy and Chef de Cuisine Joe Mishler of After and the Canvas by Ever.

The event will highlight the stories behind the fine wines, taking guests on a journey through the history behind every vineyard, winemaker, or bottle. Fine dinner wines plus the option to bring your own means guests will have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines and spirits – BYOB and sharing is encouraged.

In addition to a sparkling variety of libations, Grape + Grain guests will be able to bid on an array of experiential packages, including travel opportunities and other offerings, during a live auction.

Since the inaugural Grape + Grain event in 2022, the charity dinner and auction has raised over $1.5 million to support a portfolio of over 27 innovative nonprofits reaching more than 54,000 youth across Chicago.
