Ravenswood

Taste of Ravenswood, the neighborhood’s annual culinary celebration, returns this fall on Friday, November 8th. Back for its fifth year, the one-night-only event spotlights beer & spirits from local businesses along Malt Row, along with bites from local restaurants.

The event will be hosted at the Ravenswood Events Center (4021 North Ravenswood Avenue) and will feature a menu of one-night-only dishes from the community’s restaurants. Participating businesses this year will include Amy’s Candy Bar, Band of Bohemia, City Coffee, Half Acre, KOVAL Distillery, Lucila’s Homemade, Maderos Latin Bar & Grill, Rojo Gusano, Roots Handmade Pizza, Sixth, Spiteful Brewing, Spoken Cafe, Tuscan Hen Market, Urban Renewal Brewery, and more.

“We have several events throughout the summer that showcase Malt Row and all of the amazing things it has to offer,” says Gene Wagendorf, III, executive director for the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce. “Taste of Ravenswood is an opportunity for all of the restaurants and food businesses to really shine with the support, of course, of a variety of Malt Row businesses as well. What’s a great meal without an expert pairing?!”

Guests are encouraged to come hungry. A few dishes to expect include Roots Handmade Pizza’s handmade mozzarella sticks and Malt Crust Beer, lamb meatballs with goat cheese from Tuscan Hen Market, coffee from City Coffee, bites and brews from Band of Bohemia, exclusive sweets from Lucila’s Homemade, and much more.

Taste of Ravenswood will be held Friday, November 8th with the Atrium Cocktail Hour beginning at 6:30pm, and general admission at 7:30pm. Tickets are $60 and the cocktail hour tickets are an additional $25. VIP table reservations are available for purchase -- $800 includes reserved table space for 10 guests during the cocktail hour and general admission.
