The chicken will fly the coop for a philanthropic cause for Kendall College Trust’s fourth annual Fried Chicken & Champagne Fest on Saturday, February 2, 2019. The party will be held at Kendall College from 11:30 am-3:00 pm. All event proceeds benefit Kendall College Trust, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that raises scholarship funds for students in need obtaining their culinary and hospitality degrees and supports the Kendall College Trust Culinary Camp for high school students from underserved communities in Chicago.
Kendall College Trust Executive Director, Catherine De Orio, gathers a roster of Chicago chefs who can make clucking awesome fried chicken to fry-up their take on this classic dish. The fried dishes will be paired with different types of Champagne and sparkling wines provided by Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. The VIP Champagne Lounge will serve up premium selections from Pops for Champagne to sip and swirl.
The lineup of chefs will put their own unique spin on the classic American dish, while vying for the following three awards:
The Golden Hen – Best Overall Fried Chicken (Determined by an esteemed panel of media and industry experts)
The People’s Choice (Voted upon by attendees)
Best Table Décor (Voted upon by attendees)
