Mac’s Wood Grilled hosts a tap event featuring limited-release, seasonal and year-round beers from 3 Floyds Brewing and WarPigs Brewing USA. The event features nine draft beers with selections from both breweries. Featured drafts are listed below; the complete draft list will be available prior to the event (please visit macswoodgrilled.com for the final beer lineup).
The event showcases 3 Floyds Hammerin’ Hell, a limited release brewed by the women of 3 Floyds. This is the third year in a row the brewery has celebrated International Women’s Day by producing a beer brewed exclusively by the women of 3 Floyds and WarPigs. This beer debuted in bottles at the 3 Floyds retail kiosk at the Munster, Indiana brewery; less than a dozen barrels were released in Chicagoland. Hammerin’ Hell is a Schwarzbier/Black Lager brewed with dark and sweet cherries from Washington State. The beer is dark, rich and roasty with notes of cherries; balanced and approachable. WarPigs Forbidden Magic Strawberry Hefeweize, a limited-release seasonal with a June 2022 release date is also featured. This new WarPigs beer is featuring traditional hefeweizen notes of banana and clove with a refreshing strawberry finish.
The event includes swag giveaways such as logoed glassware, hats, shirts, and koozies. Several of the Hammerin’ Hell brewers will be in attendance such as Abby Titcomb, the vice president/head distiller of 3 Floyds Distilling; Taylor Peterson, director of events and communications at 3 Floyds Brewing/Distilling, and Amanda Noa, regional brewery representative from WarPigs Brewing USA. Food Specials include a $15 Tart Cherry BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger 8-ounce USDA Prime Certified Angus Beef burger with housemade tart cherry BBQ sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, hickory-smoked peppered bacon, lettuce, tomato, dill pickles and a brioche bun (served with fries); and $13 Tart Cherry Wings, jumbo wood-grilled chicken wings with housemade tart cherry BBQ sauce.
