Reporting notes: 12th Annual Oktoberfestiversary Returns October 12 and 13
Oktoberfestiversary returns and Begyle Brewing and Dovetail Brewery are hosting their annual Fall party. They'll be celebrating the 12th anniversary of Begyle Brewing, with food trucks, live music, and beer. Taking place Saturday, October 12 (11am-10pm) & Sunday, October 13, 2024 (11am-9pm) in support of The Friendship Center, the neighborhood food pantry serving the Northwest side since 1969. Expect special beer tappings alongside options from both breweries throughout the weekend, complemented by entertainment from DJs and Chicago food trucks. The event anticipates featuring over 50+ beers, showcasing 15+ local bands, hosting nine food vendors, offering activities for all ages, and more.
Food: Barry Sweets Sweet treats, Bad Johnny’s Wood-fired pizza, Beard & Belly Sausages, El Zorro Tacos Mexican fare, Happy Lobster Lobster rolls, Mac Dynamite Mac & Cheese, Soul & Smoke BBQ & sides, The Fat Shallot Sandwiches & sides, Yum Dum Dumplings.
The festival is free to attend with a $5 suggested donation benefits The Friendship Center, their local food pantry that’s been providing groceries and more for their Northside neighbors facing hunger for more than 50 years. Since partnering with The Friendship Center in 2018, the events’ gate donations have provided the equivalent of more than 2.5 million meals. This year’s goal is to reach 3 million total meals donated to the Friendship Center.
