The team at Element Collective is bringing together the best of the West (Loop) for one night only to face off against each other in the
West Loop Shakedown. This cocktail competition, sponsored by CH Distillery, will be held on March 30th at 6pm at RM Champagne Salon. Eight West Loop bars are sending their best talent to represent them in front of a notable panel of judges for a night to benefit local charity partner, Un86'd. Guests are invited to attend for free and enjoy food stations, drink specials and cast their vote for the winner of the People's Choice Award.
The bartenders who will be competing are
Jill Anderson (RM Champagne Salon), Tara Baskin-White (Nellcote), Julia Momose (The Aviary), Gus Steiner (Soho House), Derek Payne (La Sirena), Dan Marunowski (Paramount Room), Ryan Hoffman (The Office) and Krissy Schutte, (CH Distillery).
Judges include
Julia Thiel from Readerand Heather Schroering from RedEye,as well as Shannon Marie from Chicago Distilling Company.
Each participant will make their drink, with the only requirement being that they use a CH Distillery spirit, and present it to the panel of judges, who will pick a winner based on taste, creativity and presentation.
The competition cocktails will also be sold behind the bar with a
portion of profits benefitting Un86'd, and guests are encouraged to cast their vote for the People's Choice Award. Attendance is free for all guests and there will be appetizer and flatbread stations to enjoy, as well as drink specials at the bar throughout the night.
