The Smith adds two new meal periods at the Chicago restaurant this week: weekday lunch Monday through Friday and weekend brunch Saturday and Sunday. Lunch kicked off Wednesday, May 29 and brunch will begin June 1 at its location in River North, 400 N. Clark Street.

Giving downtown workers a new weekday lunch option, menu offerings include an expanded sandwich section featuring grilled chicken and burrata and braised short rib as well as options from the dinner menu, including big salads, cast iron pizzas, skillet-roasted mac + cheese, and steak selections and fries.

Weekend brunch features optionss like Sicilian baked eggs, Ranchero scramble and breakfast pot pie, along with dishes unique to Chicago, such as fried chicken & potato waffles. The menu also includes brunch cocktails like the signature Bloody Mary and French 75 Slushie. 

To celebrate the restaurant's seventh location opening and first in Chicago, The Smith will include a brunch cocktail with any egg or griddle dish purchased, for the next fifty-two weeks.

Hours for lunch are 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and weekend brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Additionally, happy hour is now extended from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily, offering $1 oysters, $8 wine and cocktails on tap, $6 draft beers and a variety of shareable snacks for $6 including housemade potato chips with blue cheese fondue and fried pickled okra.
