Get “lit” with both literature and libations at The Gage on Friday, October 25th during Lit: Conversations & Cocktails. The event will feature appearances by two notable authors, Elena Passarello (Animals Strike Curious Poses) and Caitlin Horrocks(The Vexations), in conversation with Gage Hospitality Group sommelier and beverage director, Torrence O’Haire. All during the month of October, The Gage is paying homage to local and national writers in partnership with neighbor, the American Writers Museum, the only national museum honoring American writers and their works.
The Gage along with Beacon Tavern will offer a writer’s whiskey flight that features three 1oz. pours of whiskey paired with quotes from writers who were well-known for their love of both whiskey and the written word along with a specialty Algonquin cocktail ($13, Knob Creek rye whiskey, carpano bianco, pineapple, lemon). The Gage and Beacon will donate $1 of every specialty cocktail sale to the American Writer’s Museum.
Tickets for the event are available via EventBrite.com for $45 and include a welcome drink and small bites. Additional beverages are available for purchase.
