Even though Independence Day this year lands on a Tuesday, restaurants and bars across Chicago are offering deals all weekend long. Bring along your pup, friends, and even kids to enjoy what Chicago is serving up this weekend.

They are opening at 3 p.m. to serve up $5 hot dogs from a hot dog cart, $6 Red, White & Booze jello shots, and $14 Frozen Firecracker cocktails made with Cruzan Rum. Joy District's special Mega Mule will be dressed up for the holiday and is available as a 94-ounce “Merica Mule” for $70. Don't miss out on this rooftop party happening on Sunday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 4.

This North Avenue Beach hotspot, is featuring live entertainment by DJ Jem from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, Sunday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 4. Join in on the fun on Monday, July 3, for happy hour specials from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. that include $6 Smirnoff or Absolut Lime Vodka you-call-its (not including Red Bull).

Castaway's special Independence drink is the "Stars & Stripes" frozen cocktail. It's a festive red, white and blue cocktail that features Castaway's signature Miami Vice (a frozen mix of pina colada and strawberry daiquiri) topped with blue curacao ($10). They will have have lunch and dinner, with menu items like fresh salads, wraps, sandwiches, and quesadillas, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. so you can continue your party all day.

Commonwealth Tavern is opening at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday of Fourth of July weekend for a family-friendly brunch available until 2 p.m. They also have a new Kids Menu ($5-$6) so your little ones can celebrate with you. Don't forget to bring your dog along for the celebration as well because Commonwealth has a dog-friendly patio, weather permitting.

Bonus: enjoy the fireworks at Navy Pier on Saturday, July 1 at 10:15 p.m. and Tuesday, July 4 at 9:30 p.m.
