Portsmith is bringing back their Guest Chef Oyster Series for the second year. Starting June 7th the restaurant launches its second Guest Chef Oyster Series, a curated lineup of oysters in a weekly rotating collaboration with a collection of Chicago chefs. All profits from the series will be donated directly to Shedd Aquarium to support their conservation efforts, and the series will close out with a wrap party event on August 8th.
With creations inspired by each restaurant’s style of cuisine, this series is helmed by Portsmith’s Executive Chef and Partner Nate Henssler and features an a lineup of Chicago chefs including Andrew Zimmerman of Sepia , Gustavo Urbina of Katana, Eric Lees of Spiaggia, Ender Oktayuren of Steadfast, Ryan Pfeiffer of Blackbird, Cory Morris of Nacional 27, Giancarlo Valera of Tanta, Gabriel Freeman of Scofflaw and Michael Lanzerotte of Saint Lou's Assembly.
To cap the series off, a wrap party event on August 8th, which will feature the top 3 selling oysters, drinks by sponsor Ketel, a raffle, shellfish towers, oyster shucking stations, “Sustainable Seafood” hors d'oeuvres, special guests, and more. All profits from this event will be donated to Shedd Aquarium.
