American Old Town

When: Sunday, March 1st

Where: Old Town Social (455 W North Ave)

Old Town Social, home of the hog, is so passionate about pigs that the restaurant often brings whole hogs right through its kitchen doors, maximizing the meaty goodness for its Midwestern patrons. The restaurant was initially put on the map when Executive Chef Jared Van Camp became the first chef in Chicago legally certified to dry-cure salumi in-house, and its reputation for handcrafted, from-the-farm porcine offerings has only grown since then.

On Sunday, March 1, they'll be carving up a Berkshire hog from Indiana's Local Farms Harvest in honor of National Pig Day. On this country-wide day of celebration for all things swine, Old Town Social offers up a host of artisanal, pork-centric specials available during both brunch and dinner hours. Additionally, Old Town Social will be partnering with the folks at Moody Tongue Brewery for a tap takeover and will serve 6 special Moody Tongue drafts on Sunday only.
