Koi Fine Asian, located in the heart of downtown Evanston, has three dining options for guests ringing in 2018 with a celebratory meal. Starting at 11:30 a.m., Koi will hold their weekend Dim Sum Brunch service, featuring an array of small plates, organic teas and cocktails. Brunch runs until 3 p.m.
Families are welcome to enjoy a kids' countdown event. At 7:59 p.m. a "midnight" countdown will take place and children will receive treats and party favors. Koi's $5 menu for diners 12 and under includes crunchy Chinese-style shrimp, crispy chicken nuggets, yummy wonton strips with chicken wings, lo mein noodles with chicken, chicken fried rice, steamed vegetables and make-your-own bubble tea.
Dinner service will begin at 3 p.m., featuring Koi's a la carte menu, in addition to a ten course tasting menu ($30 per person). This family-style feast requires a minimum of four guests and includes dumplings, satay, spicy chicken wings, kung pao chicken, garlic prawns, mongolian beef, shanghai green beans, stir fry vegetables, tempura banana and chocolate lava cake.
