ROOF on theWit (201 N State St)

Has announced the return of its Monte Carlo-inspired New Year’s Eve Party on Monday, December 31st from 9pm to 1am. Those who purchase tickets to the event will have access to an open bar and food courtesy of Executive Chef Nathan Sears, four gaming tables – all played for fun, and live entertainment with a performance from Champagne All-Stars, playing classics with a twist.

To complement the ambiance of the evening, Chef Sears has created an array of food items and action stations including a carving station with roasted prime steaks, premium seafood, passed hors d'oeuvres, and fresh hearth baked bread. To incorporate the southern French cuisine of Monte Carlo, Chef Sears has created flavorful selections, including truffle and foie gras dishes. Keeping with the theme of the night, Executive Pastry Chef Toni Roberts will prepare her classic French macarons, as well as strawberry champagne truffles for guests with a sweet tooth to enjoy.

Guests looking to fully immerse themselves in the evening can play at roulette, craps, or blackjack tables with ROOF chips and vouchers. In addition to Champagne All-Stars, guests can enjoy a variety of entertainment including music from DJs including Rick Wonder, as well as dance performances from ballet dancers. A complimentary photo booth with a commemorative New Year’s Eve filter will also be available. At midnight, all guests will be invited to cheers to the new year with a complimentary champagne toast.

Geja’s Café (340 West Armitage)

Will offer New Year’s Eve revelers a romantic repast featuring fondue and champagne in a festive, yet intimate, atmosphere complete with classical/flamenco guitar music. Geja’s Café will feature three special reserved seatings on Monday, December 31, 2018.  Reservations are available for 5:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.   

All guests will enjoy a four-course fondue dinner complete with Swiss Gruyere cheese fondue appetizer, salad, lobster, shrimp and beef entree and Geja’s famous flaming Belgian chocolate dessert fondue.  The evening’s packages also include champagne and tax and gratuity!

The 5:00 p.m. seating is $95 per person and includes a glass of Piper Heidsieck Brut Champagne. The 7:30 p.m. seating is $115 per person and includes a glass of Charles Heidsieck Brut Rose Champagne. VU Rooftop 

Chicago’s new rooftop destination, VU Rooftop Bar, located 22 stories above McCormick Place at 133 East Cermak, is excited to ring in 2019 with its exclusive VU Year’s Eve event on Monday, December 31 from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Guests who purchase tickets to this event will have access to a variety of signature cocktails developed by Advanced Sommelier John Williams and featured dishes from Executive Chef Nolan Narut, along with city views including the stunning firework display at Navy Pier, energizing sounds by in-house music partners The DJ Firm, party favors to ring in the new year, and other fun surprises.

General admission tickets to VU Year’s Eve are $25 per person, and $35 at the door. All guests will receive a complimentary champagne toast, as well as exclusive access to library selections from champagne partner Lanson and featured sparkling cocktails. 

This South Loop rooftop bar, which opened its doors in October of this year, touts over 13,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor activation areas, including a karaoke room, boardroom, club bar, and solarium bar. With water and fire fountains on the exterior, along with the Chicago skyline as the backdrop, guests are able to revel in rooftop season all year long, while also enjoying an interior that includes a sweeping 40 stool main bar, a video wall and an abstract mural.

VIP table reservations, which include complimentary admission to the party, will also be available for purchase. the Albert has unveiled their special chef’s tasting menus for New Year’s Eve. Curated by Executive Chef Larry Feldmeier, formerly of Sixteen, patrons have the option to choose from a five-course chef’s tasting menu for $125 a person or a seven-course chef’s tasting menu for $165 a person. Items on the menu include Shigoku Oyster and CaviarRabbit Confit Salad with winter citrus and root vegetables, Celery Root Soup with smoked trout and crème fraiche, Foie Gras Torchon with pickled fig and almond, Tajarin Pasta with tallegio and burgundy truffle, and Beef Oscar with king crab and asparagus. For those with a sweet tooth, dessert items of Cassis & Black Peppercorn SorbetStrawberry Champagne Truffle, and Bergamot Mousse with cara cara, butterscotch, and nori will be served courtesy of Executive Pastry Chef Vanarin Kuch, former contestant on Top Chef Just Desserts and Chopped. A white truffle enhancement is available for $45 and a caviar service with traditional accoutrements will be served for $175 per ounce.

State and Lake Chicago Tavern (201 N State St)

State and Lake Chicago Tavern has revealed its New Year’s Eve a la carte dinner menu curated by Executive Chef Nathan Sears. The NYE menu ranges from $14-55, and offers locals and guests alike a variety of options to ring in the New Year on a tasty note. Starters on the menu include French Onion Soupwith onions caramelized in duck fat, beer broth, croutons, and broiled mozzarella, a House Cured Wagyu Bresaola “Carpaccio” topped with black truffle aioli, arugula, parmesan, and pickled mustard seeds, an Acorn Finished Prosciutto and Stewed Red Grape Conserva, complete with fresh green grapes, ricotta salata, basil and crostini,among othersMain entrées feature a selection of heartier options such as 10 oz. Filet Mignonwith Maître ‘d butter, arugula, and choice of béarnaise or bordelaise sauce, 12 oz. Z Bar

The rooftop cocktail lounge at The Peninsula Chicago has planned a sparkling, golden-hued celebration filled with music and Champagne to ring in the new year.

At the bar, Champagne magnums and specialty cocktails with 24-karat-gold-flecked ice will be flowing. Among the gold-accented cocktails that will be available to guests: Gold Magic, a Champagne cocktail with an eau de vie twist; the Mag Martini, made with Nolet’s Reserve gin, orange saffron, verbena and dry vermouth; and a traditionally crafted Paradis Sazerac featuring Hennessy Paradis cognac.

Guests will receive hats, noisemakers and other party favors for the countdown to midnight, ushered in by DJ duo Chess Knight and Dial Jess.

Z Bar’s team members will dress in gold to match the mood, and the bar itself will be awash in gold décor and sparkling amber LED lights.

West Town’s Bar Biscay’s (1450 W. Lincoln Park’s Gemini (2075 N. Nico Osteria

Michael Jordan's Restaurant Oak Brook

The Press Room

Porkchop, Hyde Park’s neighborhood spot for BBQ, Whiskey and Live Music, is celebrating New Year’s Eve with live music, Burlesque and a midnight balloon drop and toast, followed by an epic New Year’s Day Pajama Brunch (all in PJs get a free Bloody Mary or Mimosa). The kitchen will be open until 1AM on New Year’s Eve, and there will be plenty of whiskey shots and a photo booth to add to the fun.

The Burlesque NYE Party will start on December 31 from 9PM until 1AM with the Pajama Brunch served from 10:30AM until 3PM on January 1, 2019.
