Bar Roma will celebrate National Meatball Day on Saturday, March 9. In addition to five different types of meatballs on the menu (ground beef; spicy pork belly; chicken; veal; vegetarian), Chef Ramos will prepare special polpette for the occasion - duck and foie gras meatball with plum mostarda and rapini. 

The Andersonville-located Italian restaurant features half-priced meatballs in the tavern area daily from 5-6:30 p.m. Pair your polpette with $6 glass pours of select red wine during happy hour.

Specialty Meatball - duck and foie gras, plum mostarda and rapini $14

Manzo - ground beef, braised beef cheeks, pomodoro, whipped herb ricotta $9

Maiale - spicy pork belly, garlic, rapini, Calabrian pepper $8

Pollo - chicken, pistachio, caramelized onions, lemon white wine sauce, ricotta salata $8

Vitello - veal, sweetbreads, caramelized onions, wild mushroom marsala $10

Verdura - "impossible" meatballs, spinach and mushroom pomodoro $12
