The Illinois Restaurant Association is set to celebrate 103 years and gather for a gala featuring the best cuisine of the Chicago restaurant scene. Chef’s Table: Restaurateurs for Education presented by Old Crow Smokehouse and Sysco will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017at 6:00 p.m. at Morgan MFG (401 North Morgan).

The 40th annual reception brings together Chicago’s food service industry leaders to help support the leaders of tomorrow. Guests will enjoy bites from the best that the city has to offer, while mingling with fellow industry professionals, all to benefit students who dream of pursuing a career in the hospitality industry.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Scholarship Initiative and statewide ProStart® program. The mission of the Educational Foundation is to build the state’s hospitality workforce through career exploration, development programs, and scholarships. Since its inception, over $2.9 million in scholarships have been awarded. 

Guests will disco the night away, donned in their favorite Studio 54 themed gear. The evening will include creatively crafted cocktails, chef tables featuring variety of dishes and desserts, a high-end silent auction and networking opportunities with hundreds of food service industry professionals. 

The cost to attend is $250 per person, and tickets may be purchased at www.illinoisrestaurants.org. The IRAEF is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. $150 of each ticket is deductible as a charitable donation.
