Chef Michael Lachowicz celebrates the legendary Julia Child on her birthday August 15 until Sunday, August 18, 2019.

Chef Michael was one of a handful of chefs that were invited to cook for Julia Child on her 80th birthday. He developed this special menu in her honor that can be enjoyed in Silencieux, one of the three concepts within the George Trois Group. 

The menu, priced at $85 prix fixe per person (before taxes and gratuities), will be offered Thursday through Sunday only and includes:

Coquilles St. Jaques: chardonnay-poached scallops, button mushrooms, braised fennel and vin blanc glacage. 

Burgundy Braised Beef Short Ribs: "Grand Mere" gratin dauphinoise and haricots vert. 

Classic Baked Alaska: chocolate gelato and soft sponge gateau enrobed in Italian meringue, Cognac toasted tableside and coconut creme Anglaise.  

A special menu will also be offered at Aboyer, George Trois Group's brasserie, including:

Croque Madame: thick-cut sourdough bread, gruyere cheese, crisp and tender pork belly, bechamel sauce topped with a lacy fried egg, hand cut frites and frisee salad. $18 plus tax and gratuity.

Coq au Vin: Burgundy braised leg and thigh, roasted breast, bacon lardons, pearl onions and button mushrooms over herbed spaetzle topped with a butter fried crouton. $24 plus tax and gratuity.

Grand Marnier Souffle Glace: creamy frozen Grand Marnier custard and candied orange zest dusted with cocoa powder. $10 plus tax and gratuity.

Additionally, Aboyer will honor Julia Child with brunch on August 18th only with:

Petite Croque Madame: individual brioche muffins stuffed with black forest ham and gruyere cheese, lacy fried quail egg, and bechamel sauce. $10 plus tax and gratuity 

French rolled omelet "Florentine": tomato & brie stuffed, garlic sauteed spinach, toasted brioche, crispy bacon and roesti potatoes. $16 plus tax and gratuity 

Classic Crepes Suzette: sweet ricotta-filled crepes, candied orange zest, and buttery, sauce a l'orange. $10 plus tax and gratuity
