Geja’s Café is planning a Valentine’s celebration. From Saturday, February 9 through Sunday, February 17,” Geja’s Café will be decorated for the love-filled holiday and will feature a selection of rosé sparkling wines and champagnes, fondue cuisine, complemented with entertainment throughout the evening from live flamenco and classical guitarists. The Valentine’s Festival will also play host to the Celebration of Marriage Night, where couples receive an added discount based on the years they have been married.
“Our goal at Geja’s Café is to create the perfect Valentine’s experience for our guests that spans past the actual day,” says Jeff Lawler, Geja’s Proprietor. “We will combine the necessary ingredients of an intimate atmosphere, fine champagnes, lavish decorations, live music, flower arrangements by Dilly Lily, couple massage packages at Massage House, and delicious fondues into the perfect recipe for romance.”
In addition to the decorations that will be on display beginning February 9, couples looking for a night can also indulge in Geja’s Celebration of Marriage on Monday, February 11. With proof of total years married, couples will receive a celebration savings of 1% off their food bill for every year married. As an example, couples wed 15 years will enjoy a 15% celebration savings.
For those looking to celebrate on Thursday, February 14, Geja’s will offer a Valentine’s Dinner Package which includes a glass of Charles Heidsieck Rose Champagne, Geja’s Swiss Gruyere cheese fondue, Geja’s salad with a Dijon vinaigrette, entrée fondue of Beef Tenderloin, Lobster Tail and Jumbo Shrimp, Geja’s luscious Belgian flaming chocolate dessert fondue with coffee, and a Geja’s Valentine’s forever keepsake.

Raised, An Urban Rooftop Bar, 1 W. Wacker Drive, is bringing the romance to Chicago’s Loop neighborhood this Valentine’s Day with a special Sweet and Sour event on Thursday, February 14 from 4pm to 12am. The rooftop bar will offer a themed food and beverage menu, as well as live music to celebrate the holiday. The special Valentine’s Day menu at Raised, available Thursday, February 14 through Saturday, February 16, is set to provide a selection of items including Blue Point Oysters with candied lime zest, micro cilantro, and champagne mignonette, Lemon-Shitake Pappardelle with parmesan and herbed butter, and Candied Sweet Potato Flatbread topped with Mt. Townsend Trufflestack, béchamel, sautéed spinach, and charred red onion. Patrons craving a sweet treat can enjoy the Chocolate Cup Cake with a vanilla boozy, cream center or the Pork and Doughnuts, three crispy old fashioned doughnuts sprinkled with maple pork and a chili glaze.
To complement the dining menu and embrace the love in the air, Raised Mixologists have created a selection of beverage options including Cotton Candy Cocktail made with Cucumber and Orchid Infused Ketel One, Rinomato, strawberry syrup, lemon juice, egg white, and cotton candy, Float Your Boat served with Ford’s Gin, Koval Jasmin, grapefuit tonic, lemon sorbet, and Juniper berries, and Sour Heart with Rinomato, Orchard Apricot, simple syrup, orange juice, lemon juice, and egg white. the Albert, 228 E Ontario St, has unveiled their special 4-Course Chef’s Tasting Menu for Valentine’s Day. Curated by Executive Chef Larry Feldmeier, formerly of Sixteen, the menu is available for $65 a person with the option of a $45 wine pairing. To kick off the menu, guests can indulge in East Coast Oysters served with a classic mignonette sauce with yuzo kosho, an acidic and spicy, all purpose condiment. Course One options include the Onion Tartine with lavender goat’s milk ricotta, and housemade Grano Arso Agnolotti finished with yellow tomatoes. Mains include Poached Diver Scallops complete with lemongrass broth, as well as decadent Braised Short Rib with pistachio and cauliflower. Patrons seeking something sweet and chocolatey can enjoy the Love is a Drug chocolate mousse dessert garnished with raspberry.
