Back for another round, Dusek’s Board & Beer is hosting its third-annual Brew U, a four-week, educational crash course in all things beer, led by Chicago’s leading brew masters.

WHEN: Every Wednesday from January 17 – February 7, at 7:00 p.m.

WHATDusek’s Board & Beer is offering a second round of Brew U, a beer education series.

The Pilsen spot is teaming up with experts from Middle Brow Beer CompanyWhiner Beer CompanyOff Color Brewing and Half Acre Brewing Company, to host a four-night, crash course in the art of crafting beer, covering topics such as hopping, mixed fermentation and more. This year’s lineup includes:

·      January 17: Brew masters from Middle Brow Beer Company discuss the secrets to experimenting with adjuncts and unique yeasts.

·      January 24: A South Side operation, pros from Whiner Beer Company present on mixed fermentation and the best barrel aging practices.

·      January 31Off Color Brewing will detail the back story on Qing Ming, the special brew created in partnership with The Field Museum inspired by artifacts uncovered in Chinese archeological digs. 

·      February 7: Specializing in classic American micro styles, weighted barrel offerings and beers that traverse the landscape of fermentation, Half Acre Beer Company will give an inside look to the brewery’s unique approach to hopping.

COST: Tickets are priced at $79 and cover the entire four-night series. All sessions begin at 7 p.m. in Tack Room and will include copious tastings and intimate conversations with the brains behind the brews.
