On Sunday, July 24 at 5:00 p.m., Metropolitan Farms partners with Tula Yoga Studio hosting a yoga class right inside the Humboldt Park urban greenhouse. Metropolitan Farms is Chicago’s newest aquaponics farm, providing a backdrop of rows and rows of beautiful fresh herbs and greens, with the evening sun shining through the glass walls and ceiling.
The sunrays offer a naturally hot yoga class for guests, creating the patmosphere to become one with nature, and your mat. Following an hour-long yoga class so close to produce you can smell the freshness, attendees join a brief tour of the greenhouse where they’ll be educated about aquaponics growing methods. They’ll also be treated to fresh, healthy snacks like Metropolitan Farms’ pesto and more, and wine to top it all off.
Yoga meets sustainable farming, with wine! There’s no better way to spend a Sunday evening.
The evening of yoga and wine in the greenhouse is priced at $25, or $15 for Tula Yoga Studio members. An instructor from Tula Yoga leads the course, encouraging participants to be enlightened by the ultimate fresh environment. Namaste to the new way of doing yoga!
