City Barbeque (7108 Cermak Road) in Berwyn, Illinois, has partnered with Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry (oprffoodpantry.org) to donate the restaurant’s daily surplus food to feed those in need in the community rather than see the food go to waste. City Barbeque is the first restaurant to work with the Pantry.

“Each City Barbeque location partners with a local food rescue group to do what’s right by the community, even though it may cost more to do so, we know it’s the right thing to do,” stated Brian Carney, General Manager of City Barbeque Berwyn.

City Barbeque Berwyn is also hosting weekly local fundraisers and has partnered with a wide variety of local charities in the community every week, with a goal of at least one per week. Since opening in October 2017, over 26 area organizations have received a total of $5,388.00.

*Hosting a fundraiser at any City Barbeque location is easy and provides the hosting organization 25% of the sales. Just complete the online form at citybbq.com/fundraising or call the nearest location.
