For some, the winter can be the time to bundle up on the couch and binge Netflix. At Hotel Madrid, it’s time to barbecue. Coming this February 25th is the first Winter Asado, an outdoor, open flame cookout for guests on Sunday afternoon from 12pm - 5pm. Culinary Director Matthew Kerley welcomes Corporate Chef of Strauss Meats Co. Todd Moore and Chef/Owner of Chicago’s Michelin awarded Entente Brian Fisher to collaborate on a meal cooked outdoors using open flames. The asado will feature roasted veal, roasted lamb, and roasted chickens prepared in specially constructed outdoor fire pits and “caja china” style roasting boxes. Guests will be able to enjoy engaging with chefs outdoors as they prepare the meal and have the opportunity to interact with these culinary masterminds. The meal will include indoor or outdoor seating and an hour of all you can eat platters of roasted meats and sides hand prepared by the three chef’s. Also available will be High West Whiskey cocktails both inside and out at the fireside bar!
