Margie's Candies has delighted young and old with homemade sundaes, shakes and hand-dipped candies for more than 90 years. Of course, only a few of those years brought the Instagram crowd to this little ice cream parlor on the border of Logan Square and Bucktown.

A new entry to our monthly list, Antique Taco is the counter-service taco hot spot in Wicker Park. And while tacos are the main game, they're busting out intriguing takes on all sorts of tasty dishes. Case in point: empanadas.

If you haven't heard, the Chicago Cubs had themselves a decent season. And even though our favorite baby bears couldn't bring home the crown, the good people of Chicago at least got to enjoy hot dogs at Wrigley Field a little bit longer this year. Bring on 2016!

We'll say it again, 2015 is the year of the donut in Chicago! And Stan's Donuts and Coffee got in to the Halloween spirit by offering these pumpkin creations, which took home the top spot in our monthly hot list. See you next month!
